Getting dirty may lift your mood

Who ever thought getting dirty may actually make you happier!! All of us here at HL know how good it feels to play in the mud but an article I noticed the other day published by a UK university actually proved that landscaping can be good for your health! Whether it was civil landscaping, maintenance or hydromulching, getting your hands dirty is scientifically proven to put a smile on you dial.

Soil has been found to have similar effects on the brain as anti-deperessants which in turn, lift your mood throughout the day. Mycobacterium antidepressant microbes in soil are also being investigated for improving cognitive function, Crohn’s disease and even rheumatoid arthritis!
