This week we caught up with Joel McCarthy, one of our NSW Site Supervisors.

Name: Joel McCarthy

Position: HL Site Supervisor

How long have you worked for HL?: 20 Months

What projects are you currently working on at the moment for HL?: My time is divided between the K2MV out at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains and the Bringelly Road Business Hub Project at Horningsea Park.

What do you mainly do on a day to day basis with HL?: I mainly organise the project works on a day to day basis and oversee the procurement of all the materials needed for each project.

What do you most like about working for HL? The comradery on site and good work mates

What’s the best part about your job? I actually look forward to the day to day challenges on site. Each project is very different and present their own challenges, so I end up learning a lot from each project.

What made you get into the landscape industry? I love working outdoors so I pursued a career that would allow me to do that.

What’s your favourite meal? Burgers
