Non-Negotiable Controls
- Machine operator to be licenced and VOC’d in machine prior to use
- Ensure a qualified spotter is in place when working around services
- Excavation permit must be in place and with machine operator prior to commencement of works
- Positive ID must be made with HV and LV services by non-mechanical digging
- Do not operate the machine on slopes greater 1:4
- Workers on the ground to have UHF Radio to allow pos-comms with machine operator at all times
- Exclusion zone to be set around live plant to reduce interaction between plant and personnel
