M4 Westconnex, Sydney, NSW - HL Landscapes

WestConnex, one of Australia’s largest transport infrastructure projects, transformed the way Sydney moves. It linked the M4 and M5 road corridors through a continuous, free-flowing motorway built mostly in underground tunnels, taking trucks and cars off local roads.

As well as generating more than $20 billion in economic benefits for NSW, WestConnex helped motorists avoid scores of traffic lights – so they spend less time stuck in traffic and more time doing what they love.

WestConnex will make travel safer, more reliable and more efficient. It will deliver people and goods to their destinations more quickly, cutting through congestion, cutting costs for businesses and improving surface roads for local communities.

WestConnex is part of a long-term vision to reinvigorate Sydney’s transport network and works alongside world-class public transport projects like CBD and South East light rail projects, Sydney Metro Northwest, and Sydney Metro City and Southwest rail projects.

HL planted over 75,000 plants including large trees which provided greater aesthetics to one of the most used motorways connecting Sydney’s CBD to the west.

With an extra 1.6 million people expected to call Sydney home in the next twenty years, WestConnex has supported this growth and will help deliver the capacity to keep our great city moving.
